There’s nothing creepier than seeing the back of a person or persons on a psychological thriller novel front cover. What are they looking at? Who are they? Why aren’t they showing their (true) faces?!

When you see someone’s back there’s an immediate ominous feeling that’s sooooo enticing! I just want to find out whether they’re the good guy or bad guy, and what they’re up to.

Here are 12 front covers that I’m loving right now.

I’ve got The Other Couple by Cathryn Grant lined up on my Kindle to read soon and I love the cover of I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll as the ‘o’ of you looks like red pen circling the woman, which is really clever.

Don’t you just lurrrve a psychological thriller novel with a face on the front cover?

It’s always guaranteed to really draw me in, especially when the eyes are looking right at me – POW! very enticing.

Anyway, here are 12 front covers with faces that I’m loving right now. My favourite is Sue Watson’s The Sister-in-Law as I’m super intrigued by the water too. I’ve got And So It Begins by Rachel Abbott on my Kindle lined up to read next.

Psych Thriller Front Cover Appreciation: Shadowy Person or Persons in a Window

Ooooh don’t you just love a shadowy person or persons in a window on a front cover of a psychological thriller book? I certainly do!

I’m always drawn to that silhouetted figure… who are they? The good guy or bad guy? What’s going on in that house? Or are they trying to escape? Perhaps there’s someone or something outside that they’re hiding from – or waiting for?

Sooo much mystery that I can wait to discover. That dark outline always adds a delicious touch of tension.

I’ve got Mark Edwards’ Here to Stay on my Kindle lined up to read ASAP, and the others are on my TBR list.

Bold Yellow and Hints of Blue: 12 Psych Thriller Covers

Anyone else drawn to psychological thriller books with bold yellow fonts and in shades of blue?

I certainly am – which probably explains my choice of cover for my psych thriller novel Her Biggest Fan!

Just for fun, I compiled twelve of my favourites with this colourway. The yellow font really POPS out at me, and pulls me in every time to find out more about the book by reading the blurb.

I've read The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. It was a five-star read for me. Another five-star was In Her Footsteps by Ruth Harrow - loved it. I've not read any of the others - yet! - however I do have Rona Halsall's The Ex-Boyfriend on my Kindle lined up to read soon. And the rest are on my TBR list.
