This one delves deep into a coercive, manipulative, toxic relationship between a newly married couple. It sucks you right into their relationship and you feel as if you're experiencing all the physical, emotional and verbal abuse right along with the main character. The Perfect Husband is a claustrophobic read but has a satisfying ending. I enjoyed it for all the ways an awful man can twist things and so effortlessly isolate a woman from everyone around her - and even from her own sense of self. My only niggle - it really needed a thorough copy edit and proofread. There were loads of random, unnecessary question marks at the end of statements? Like that one? And this one? And here's another? Which got really annoying after a while. There were also some sentences that didn't make sense, bad grammar and incorrect word choice. But, if you can get past that, then it's a really good read! Have you read it? What did you think? Comment below and let me know. Here's the blurb: How do you know if you've married the wrong person?
